I came across your site Riverton cousins. Thanks for all this information. It’s amazing the presence Riverton has on the internet!


If you’re interested, I have a few corrections:

1) My grandmother, Jeannette Euphemia Johnson Parrott, died in 1993 (not 1992) at the age of 101.

2) I think her mother’s name was spelled Archie Sneed Dyson Johnson, and it seems that she was born in 1864.

3) Her husband was William Thomas Parrott (not Jr.), who was born in 1875 and died in 1948.

4) Her first son, William Thomas Parrott Jr., died in 1996.

5) Her second son (my father), Marion Arendell Parrott, died in 2000.

I hope you and your family are all doing well. I really appreciate that you're updating the family tree - I can't wait! I wanted to let you know a few dates that you may have received already, but just in case... you can add death dates of 2024 for Robert Leroy McMillan, Jr.; Duncan Archibald McMillan; and Cornelia Howell McMillan. (Rough year for the McMillans!) Also my daughter Luisa's middle name should be spelled Emilia.

I want to check, too, to see if there is a database through Google forms or something. Or should I simply write my updated information on downloaded pdfs (for David and me, as well as our daughters) and scan back to you?

Thanks for all your hard work on this. Will you be attending the momentous 4th of July celebration next year? I'm going to try to get there for the first time in many years.

Here are updated info sheets for my branch of the family tree. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm in the process of moving, but when I'm done I'll look into the Google Docs idea I had. If you can set it up so that people can update a file directly, that should (theoretically) make it easier for them to keep it more accurate.
